Setting up system environment variables

Hi,we recently purchased Intel Visual Fortran Compiler 10.1, Standard Edition software and I have installed "Intel Visual Fortran for IA-32 and Intel 64 (with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition*)" version from the link that was provided following registration of the product.

I need to use fortran compiler in order to compile NONMEM(a pharmacokinetic modeling tool). The problem that I am having currently is that I cannot install NONMEM correctly on my machine inspite of installing the fortran compiler. The reason being, the system environment varaibles are not set. Typically environment variables are set for both the compiler and the software development kit(SDK) during the installation process. In this case the SDK is provided by Microsoft Visual studio software. However with this version of Intel Fortran compiler, the system environment variables were not set. Could you please advice steps that I need to follow to set the system environment variables.

Thanks for your help!

Can you provide more details? Which system environment variables does it expect to be set? How do you run the installation of NONMEM? What error does it give?

The Intel Visual Fortran install does set some system environment variables, but maybe NONMEM is looking for something else. You can try this.

Start > All Programs > Intel Software Development Tools > Intel Fortran Compiler 10.1.xxx > Visual Fortran Build Environment For Applications Running on IA-32
From the command prompt window, enter the full path to the NONMEM installer and press Enter.

Does this help?

There are no additional system environment variables that the installer ought to set.
