I find that the Intel debugger (idb on IA-32, Version 10.1-32 , Build 20070828) is extremely slow to update the display (GUI). It takes more than a minute for a single click on next. CPU time due to program execution is not the issue here. Same when the program execution stops at a break point or when I click on another routine listed in the traceback window.

Has anybody else observed this problem? Any suggestions?
I have already checked -nosharedobjs, but that does not help.
