Transferring license to a new machine

Hi,

My company purchased a Intel Fortran license for a workstation (one user only) and now we are retiring that machine and using a new workstation. Please let me know how I can transfer the license to the new machine? Does copying the license file work or I should request for a new license (and how)?

Regards,

Hamidreza,

If you need a change of floating license server credential you can make request on your premier support account or the licensing forum. Otherwise you would either move the license file or install using license key.

For named user licenses, just install using the serial number or license file on the new machine. The current license agreement allows use by the licensed users on an unlimited number of systems, as long as they are the primary user. There is no license transfer mechanism for these licenses. This will be changing in the future, however, to limit simultaneous installs to 3. Then there will be a transfer mechanism.
