Upgrading compiler in Mac OS X 10.7

I'm running the newest version of Mac OS X (10.7 Lion) and would like to upgrade to the newest version of Fortran Composer XE. I have a prior version installed on the computer from when I was running OS X 10.6. When I run the installer for Fortran Composer XE 2011 update 6, I get the following error:
"Aborting the install: Packaging error, aborting the install"
I've tried redownloading the file but get the same error.
Any suggestions?
In case it's of any use, the computer is a Mac Pro, 2x2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 16 GB ram, with Xcode 4.1.

The installer updated the compiler with no issue after running the installer from the terminal, not from finder. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my computer or the installer in general, but something to try if the install does not work correctly for you.
