Upgrading from IVF 10.1 to 11.1

My company is trying to install Intel Visual Fortran 11.1. We have licenses for Intel Visual Fortran 10.1 and would like to upgrade these to 11.1. The computers that we are trying to upgrade these on do not have Internet connectivity and cannot, even temporarily be connected to the Internet. Is there a way that we can get license files to upgrade these machines to 11.1?

You can either renew your existing 10.1 license (which extends support for a year from the expiration date) or purcahse a new one here.

Support provides you the ability to download the version of the compiler created during the support time period.

Once you received a serial number your register it at registrationcenter.intel.com. This will result in an email with an attached license file. You can copy this file to your system without internet access.

The same licenses work for 10.1 and 11.1, provided they are within renewal period. There's no need for an internet connection, if you can copy the ifort installer and the license to the machine. You can get fresh copies of your licenses at https://registrationcenter.intel.com. There is a separate forum now for specific questions about licensing.

Assuming you buy a support renewal license, you would register it at the Intel Registration Center and doing so would cause a license file to be emailed to you. You could then take this license file to the other computer and tell the install to use it (under Advanced (or Alternative, I don't remember) on the license screen. That option also provides "offline" activation where the installer displays a code - you go to the Intel web site on another computer, enter the code, and it gives you a response code which you then type in to the installer.

Thank you all for your replies. If I'm understanding them correctly I need a support renewal license to be able to get an upgrade license from Intel and I can get said renewal license from the site Wendy listed.

I'd already registered one of our copies of IVF 10.1 and received an email from the Intel Registration site with an attached license (.lic) file and instructions for manaully installing this file. I've uninstalled IVF 10.1 from the unclassified machine that I registered the software. From what I've read in your replies, I should be able to use this .lic file to install IVF 11.1 onto the classified machine (with no Internet access) that it needs to go on to.

Is that correct?

Correct, as long as the 10.1 license you have has a support expiration date in the future.
