Visual Studio 2016 usage

Will the 2016 compiler work using VS2016?  I know it isn't listed in the system requirements, so it is unlikely.  When is it likely to be working?

Visual Studio 2016? No such thing has been released by Microsoft, and I don't think there's even a beta. A Google search comes up empty.

That said, you can generally assume that if a VS version is not mentioned as supported, it isn't. Microsoft tends to make incompatible changes from version to version and our installer checks for specific versions of VS.
