Posts are moderated apparently, so there could be a queue while 'they' take a coffee/ water cooler break.

It is an anti-spam thing but is quite irritating..... The delay can be several hours

The forum developers are focusing on making the search function useful, and have deferred other work.  I hope that the moderation issue will be resolved within a few weeks.
