I got this message in the middle of a rebuild after a couple of routines had been compiled.
Could this have to do with my license about to expire in a few days?
I didn't think you have a "drop dead" policy.
But - - I'm planning to renew it anyway.
Build 7 on the other machine still works, though.
Should we stick with that for a while longer?

This might be due to running out of storage on the C drive.
I am looking into this. Whoveer set my system up
partitioned the hard drive into a C and D drvie, and gave only
about 250 GB total for the C drive.
compressing the drive might solve the problem.

This has nothing to do with the license. Did you not get any error message in the build log? That message is produced by Windows when an application gets an unhandled exception. That would be very unusual for the compiler. Is this reproducible? Can you provide us with the project?

The problem affected other apps as well, so I think running out of disk space
(as you suggested) is the culprit.
I've pretty well isolated the problem, it wasn't VS 2010 or the Fortran build.
