You're entitled to find out yourself, by agreeing to proceed with the unsupported installation. It means primarily that the components in FC15 are too new to have undergone full testing with the ifort version you chose.

The installer is rejecting further steps saying unsupported OS. How can I by-pass the installer for an unsupported installation, so that I can chack the compatibilty to new OS and report back!
As Fedora 13 reached end of life on 2011-06-24, Does INTEL has any cutoff date to release an rpm for fedora15 compatible fortran compiler. I am an int-el-oxicated & badly in need of help... intel seems very slow!!

what is unsupported installation!? the installer is rejecting further steps, saying unsupported OS. How can I install by-passing installer so that I can test the efficacy of compiler to the new OS?!

You seem to be overlooking a couple of relevant points.
Intel releases one installation package for Linux-32 and another one for Linux-64. Those releases are meant to be used on all supported (or, in cases such as yours, to be tried on unsupported) distributions of Linux. Thus, there is no such thing as an "rpm for Fedora-15".
Secondly, instead of trying Fedora 14, you want to try running Intel Fortran on Fedora 15, an OS that was only released about a month ago and, therefore, did not exist when the current issue of the Intel Fortran compiler was released. The word "unsupported" is not only applicable, but the combination you have chosen is impossible to support at this time even if Intel had wanted to.
Have you checked to see whether your system meets the other prerequisites? Can you, for example, compile and run a C program using Gcc or a Fortran program using GFortran?
These are solely personal observations.

As you've seen, FC editions turn over faster than it is possible to test and release compilers against them. When the installer sees distro components which haven't been tested, it reports unsupported, but should permit you to continue with the installation. You do, of course, require the optional g++ installation corresponding to the ifort you attempt to install (basic g++ x86_64 development system for Intel64, i386 g++ for ifort ia32). If you still have trouble, you'll need to be more specific about what you tried and what responses you got.
You could still submit problem reports, but they might not be fixed until a future release of ifort, on one of the primary supported distros.

@TimP:Thanks a lot for the overview
I have the g++ (GCC) 4.6.0 20110530 for x86_64 for intel64 installed in the system. it is an rpm
gcc-4.6.0.9fc15 (x86_64) I thought this wil suffice for the installer to go ahead!
I have tried to install the intel's

Intel Fortran Composer XE for Linux* on my 64-bit system with fedora15 as OS.
(previously I had fedora12 and intel fortran 11 , but even fedora13 reached life end I upgraded to fedora15 )
thanks in advance
