In order to compile the Gaussian 03 (rev E.01) quantum chemistry package, I have to install 'old' versions of the intel C and Fortran compilers (10.0.023) and MKL libraries (9.1.018). I already registered these products last year (still active until november 9th) and checked I installed the corresponding .lic files in /opt/intel/licenses.
Nevertheless, the compilers installation fails, giving either the serial number or the path the license file. Does this mean I cannot install old versions of the compilers ?

Specifying the path to the license file should work - the serial number might not. I would suggest going to the Self Help page at the Intel Registration Center and using the chat option, if available, or sending a question, to help you resolve this.

I am a system administrator and am charged with installing a new version of the Fortran Compiler on an upgraded machine.
The old machine had the a license installed in /usr/local/intel licenses. The file is called XXX.lic and mentions the Intel 2007 compiler. It it my understanding that support for this license has been paid for the last several years. Unfortunately, I do not know in whose name the software was originally licensed (although his email address should have been @larc.nasa.gov or @nasa.gov. How could I find out this information so that I can get the new software and install it on the upgraded machine? The person now holding (and paying for) the license is named Florence.Hutcheson.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Sarah,
I removed the name of the file you posted since that does contain serial number information which you should not post in the public view.
Your post is off topic from this original thread so it would be better if you post your request (without the file name - only provide that via private communication) in our Intel® Software Development Products Download, Registration & Licensing forum or even better have Florence submit an issue via Intel Premier requesting the license transfer for the S/N (have her provide the file name you provided earlier in her submission). They can provide you with details of who originally registered the S/N and work with you to transfer it.
