Hi,
does anybody knows if F90 version 9.1 (from around 2007) would install and work successfully on Snow Leopard on the MAC? Unfortunately, my support expired and I have to install the new system (currently, Leopard) and need to make sure that the compiler and the maths libraries would work. I am afraid I only have the original install dmg files, no updates available.
There is a chance that I just install the new system with the option of moving the old system to another directory. Then, does anybody knows whether /opt/ files (where the compiler resides) would also be moved? Is it correct to assume that, if they won't be moved, then the compiler will just work? However, if this directory will be move, is it correct to assume that if I move them back into the /opt/ location, then it will work (subject to necessary path and env variables in the .cshrc or .bashrc user files)?
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated,
Lev

The 9.1 release will not work with Snow Leopard. We've only recently ironed out some issues with supporting Snow Leopard (see here) in our current 11.1 release. For Snow Leopard supportyou need at least the latest 11.1 release/update (11.1 Update 4) and Xcode 3.2.x.
