I'm getting an IOSTAT=30 error when I try to open an unformatted file. The file exists in the same directory and was written as an unformatted file. Any ideas out there? Thanks,
Sue

Add a call to ERRSNS after the OPEN fails - the second argument returns a value that is the Windows error number. For example:
call errsns (, ierr)
Display the ierr value and let us know what it was.

Thanks - I added the call, and the ierr returned is 32.

Ok, that's SHARING_VIOLATION. The file is opened for exclusive access by another process.
