problem installing Intel composer XE 2013

Hi,

while installing Intel composer XE 2013, I get this error "the following components cannot be installed - integration(s) in Microsoft visual studio*"

my Os is Windows 8.1 and I have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 installed on my computer. I have no idea where this error comes from.pleas help me it is so urgent.

The Intel Composer XE 2013 release does not integrate with Visual Studio 2015. For integration with VS2015 you must use Intel Parallel Studio 2015 Update 4 (or higher) or Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016.

If you require the Intel Composer XE 2013 release, then you must use an earlier version of the Microsoft Visual Studio. Please refer to the article, Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows* - Required and optional Microsoft* development software, for information about specific Visual Studio versions supported by earlier Visual Fortran releases.

Thank you for reply, actually it had another error while installing, it needed windows SDK, so I installed the windows 8.1 SDK and at the Microsoft web page I downloaded SDK, there was a note that said this software kit works with VS2015! Before VS2015, I had VS2010 on my computer but I'd got same error then I tried VS2015! I am civil engineering student so excuse me if I am not well acknowledged about VS and Intel compilers.

No need to apologize. The system requirements for the product are listed in the Release Notes, https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-composer-release-notes-by-version.

I am little confused what version of our product you are installing now. Some of what you describe now sounds maybe like you are installing our latest Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 release and not the 2013 you indicated initially.

Have you resolved all the issues and thus have Visual Studio and Intel Fortran compiler installed and integrated at this time?

I took a look at the release note, now I understand why it doesn’t work with Visual studio 2015 but as said I tried installing Intel composer XE 2013 while I’d got Visual studio 2013 on my computer but I faced same error and I thought It is may be because the windows SDK that I got for Windows 8.1 just works with Visual studio 2015 but It seems I was wrong but as I said I had this problem with visual Studio 2013. By the way I am sure that I trying to install Intel Composer XE 2013.

PS: my friend who has Windows 7 as operating system installed both visual studio 2010 and Composer XE 2013 on his computer successfully but I got this error for visual Studio 2013. 2015 and 2010.

Ok, let’s see what we can learn from the installation logs to help you resolve this issue.

Please look for all files named like “ComposerXE2013…” that appear in the folder referenced by the %TEMP% user-environment variable setting. Please gather all files by that name into a .zip and attach the .zip to a private reply (i.e. Send Author A Message) to me.
