I am getting an error message "xxxx.dsp has been corrupted and cannot be opened" when I try to convert a Compaq Visual Fortran v. 6.1 project. I am using the Vis Studio Shell that came with the Intel VF compiler.
I saw in some release notes that this conversion should work with Vis Studio 2008.
Any suggestons?
Thanks.
Rob
p.s. does Intel have an archived version of Compaq VF v.6.1 available for download to purchasers of the Intel VF package. It may be that with some short term deadlines upon me that I will be better off using the Compaq version (and my old CD's with it are not behaving).

Hello robberman,
If you are using VS shell "CVF projects cannot be converted to Intel Visual Fortran projects. Instead, create a new Intel Visual Fortran project and add your sources to it" as said by Steve Lionel in the following link.

Perhaps it is because of this you are getting this error..

I think Pedro has correctly diagnosed the cause of your error.
Also we do not have any versions of CVF for distribution (we actually only bought some of the technology not CVF itself).
