We are all here on earth to program Fortran; what on earth the others are here for I don't know.

I watched this message, thinking I would get at least one comment.

You can never tell what interests the board people.

What does an article about forgetting things vs seeing too much detail have to do about WH Auden?

Interesting point.

Are we so obsessed with Fortran anything else is a waste of time.

This board is like the new idea of a 'men's shed' , but do we come here for Fortran or some form of friendship with a mutual interest

Just an observation

We come here for Intel Fortran. It is not a social club - there are plenty of other venues for that.

Interesting point.

It is actually a very active area of research about the problem of men in cities who are not socializing properly, so whatever you think this site is a socialization site, the call them men's shed and they are usually for a single topic.

Sorry,  but you are part of a long running social experiment.
