Intel is accepting applications to join the beta program for the Intel C++ and Fortran Compiler Professional Edition 11.1 One can apply by sending email to grp_compiler.pro.beta.request@intel.com. They ask that you include your name, email address company and reason for your request.

This compiler emits the Intel AVX instructions.

You can try out the executables containing these new instructions using the Intel Software Development Emulator (SDE) http://www.intel.com/software/sde

(There was a bug in the email link for the beta on the SDE web page; those links have now been fixed)

Hi Mark,

Is Intel planning to offer tools to exploit AVX in other programming languages like .Net supported programminglanguages?

Does this one raise enough doubts? cache-www.intel.com/cd/00/00/40/73/407336_407336.pdf
or, for an independent view,

Or, do you plan to introduce your own product?

This is to announce that the beta program for the Intel C++ and Fortran Compiler Professional Edition 11.1 ended on April 17, 2009 and we can no longer accept new testers. You may obtain a copy of 11.1 when it is released. This is currently scheduled for late June.
