Hi Daniel,

Both IPP 7.0 and 9.0 use only CPU resources.

This brings up the issue of the (intel) CPU competing with the (non-Intel) GPU when doing high-performance computing. See emerging technologies like OpenCL and Apple Metal. In the light of this competition, I find it (more than) absurd that Intel is deprecating threaded execution inside IPP (but not inside MKL). This is like Intel digging its own grave.
