hi,
is there any report for performance between IA-32 and Intel 64 lib?
currently we are upgrading our OS to 64 bit, but the test result is not good, seems IPP Intel 64 is slower than IA-32.
we are using:
Windows XP Professional 64 bit edition
Visual Studio 2008
IPP 7.0.3 intel64
before it was:
Windows XP Professional 32 bit
Visual Studio 2008
IPP6.1.3 IA-32
The testing CPU is Intel E8400, also a 64bit CPU,
Any suggestion?

Hello,
Which IPP function are you testing? It does not expect to have obvious performance difference between 32 bit and 64 bit in the hardware.
But in a few functions, IPP had specific optimization for one of them, while the other may not.
If you could provide the function, that may help to have further check.
Thanks,
Chao

Sorry, it's because I install 2 OS on the samecomputer, the speed goes down.
I never know thattwo OS will slow down the computer....After test it again, Intel 64 is better than IA-32.
By the way, Dmip.Graph has problem when we port to 64 bit, there are LNK2001 error for Compile() and Execute() methods, also there are two other errorwhen including dmip.h.
Regards

Hi,
Glad to know you find the problem. For DMIP error, possiblly you can post in a new thread, so we can track it and fix for future release.
Thanks,
Chao
