IPP 5.0beta's FFT (ippsFFTInv/Fwd_CtoC_32f) is faster than 4.1?

I linked FFT functions in my patched SETI@home, one with 5.0beta and the other with 4.1. I did a small benchmark test and found 5.0beta looks faster.

Has any change done in FFT? I guess it has been done....though it is not mentioned in any documents as far as I know.

TIA!!

Thanks for sharing this information. As usual, with each release we continually improve the optimizations for IPP functions. You may also compare the performance data ps_ipps*.csv files from directory oolsperfsysdata in both IPP 5.0 beta and IPP 4.1 directories and see the peformance changes.

Thank you!!

The datasheets show actually 5.0beta is faster!! I'm happy to know the real performance.
