IPP 5 Beta breaks IPP 4.x

After IPP 5 install I've tried to recompile IPP 4.x projects ( like Mpeg2Decode ou IJL , ..etc) and this can't be achieved. Some funcs have just new names like IppCoreGetCpu() that is now IppCoreGetCpu()..., some others are just lost somewhere like IppStaticFree() -- but I still got IppStaticInit()...-- or like plane conversions used for Mpeg2. I've not yet tried new samples has my first concern is on retro-compatibility. So my question is can we expect final 5.0 version support execution & recompilation of previuous work ?Or are we again in the quite same situation as from IPL to IPP ?

oops. I've found my answers : in IPP 5 you have 2 text files enumerating new functions (added) and old (removed) functions : they are located in doc folder : ipp_API_add.txt & ipp_API_remove.txt.

my question is : can you confirm that < ippStaticFree() > is not more necessary after ?.

In IPP5 you can still find documentation for usage ....

Yes. You can check there 2 new documents to find new API and removed APIs in IPP 5.0 beta.

The document is needed to correct. I will send request to our documentation owner to fix these in next release. If you find more document errors in our documents, please report us via Intel Premier Support.
