I've signed up and downloaded IPP 5.0beta both for Linux and for Windows and found a notice "This program expires on 2005/12/31" in the email.

I think it means this "beta testing" program expires on 2005/12/31.

But does this mean the binary linked with this beta version of IPP must not be used after that legally? Or does it simply mean installing this IPP beta after 2005/12/31 is impossible?

So far this library (I use FFT functions in this) works fine.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes, installation program will not work after specified period. For the legal use, you may refer the IPP 50 beta license agreement in file ippEULA.rtf from IPP 50 directory for details, especially for no.10 section:
TERMINATION OF THIS LICENSE: The term of this Agreement will commence on the date this Agreement is accepted by You and will continue until terminated. This Agreement will terminate without notice on the last day of the pre-release period, which is specified elsewhere in the Materials, or upon the commercial release of the Materials. Intel may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, with written notice to you. Upon termination, you will immediately destroy the Materials or return all copies of the Materials to Intel along with any copies you have made
Regards,
Vladimir

Hi,

I downloaded IPP 5.0 beta but I'm not able to install it. I'm using SuSE Linux 9.2. I decompress the file, then I run install and I get

Error: Cannot extract "installdata" file into "/tmp/install_temp.a09a24fd24df2c003397df910c7495da" directory

What's the problem? tried bot as root and normal user.
