Perlin Noise

Hi,
In the 6.1 release notes, it is mentioned that there are
"Advanced lighting functions including spherical harmonic and Perlin noise generation
functions"
Now, I've got6.1.2.041, and for the life of me, I can't find any reference to Perlin noise generation in any other documentation other than the release note. Now I'll admit I don't know much about Perlin noise generation in the first place, hence I'm struggling a bit here.
Can someone point me in the right direction, not asking for a solution really, just a pointer to get me started.

Hi Matthew,


I'm sorry, it was an mistake in IPP 6.1 release notes. Perlin noise functionality is not available in IPP, only spherical harmonics functions (you may find them in ippR library)
