Hi,
What kind of interpolation is used in the half size UV planes to convert from YUV422 to RGB? What is the process in this function, YUV422 to YUV444 and finally to RGB?
Thanks

Hi,
For convertions like YUV422 To RGB or YUV422 To YUV444 we dont use interpolation at all.
The Catmull-Rom interpolation is used in function ippiYCbCr420ToYCbCr422Filter_8u_P2P3R

It is difficult to understand to convert yuv420 or yuv422 to yuv444 without interpolation . Just like resizing image from small size to large
size , we must use interpolation .

Perhaps I should rephrase the question.
A straightconversion from YUV to RGB only involves a colortwist operationwith equal size planes andwe end up with an RGB image that has 3 planes of equal size.
When converting from YUV 422 or YUV 420 to RGB we start with a U and V planes of half or a fourth the size of the Y plane. How are the extra pixels made up when converting from YUV422 or YUV420 To RGB?
