Hardware Based Security Mainframe

Hey folks, got a question.
Given we operate true multi-core processers and actually use them to run two different systems, one secure and one public (intranet/internet). Is it possible to then actually dumb the operations made on the two systems into a third system with Linux/MS Systen running on it, and make it appear as if we operatein windows. ? Like we integrate switching/routing into the actual single multi-core system and operate on the two base systems, using hardwareswitches, and mirror the action into windows. This way, I am citing a friend of mine, since I am not too much into this, we could coordinate processing and file-movement behind the actual operation system without having the risk of the system writing backwards on the systems operating it. I mean, is there something such as this and yea, is it secure?
thx.
Ben
