I have 2 pc's configured this way:
2.8GHz(w/hyper-threading)
ASUS MB P4P8X SE
256MB PC3200
and
2.4GHzC(w/hyper-threading)
ASUS MB P4P8X
512MB PC3200
Problem: 2.8GHz shows HT enabled in the BIOS and can run 2 separate threads just as you would on a multi-processor pc. The 2.4GHz shows HT enabled in the BIOS but I am unable to run separate threads as I do on the 2.8GHz. When I do the applications compete for cpu time. The MB have the identical BIOS versions installed. The MB, processors and memory all support hyper-threading technology. Am I missing something?
Thanks for your replies
Allan

Hi Allan,
What operating system are you using? If you're using Windows, does the Task Manager show two CPU's? If Linux, does top show two CPU's?
Thanks
Henry
