Having trouble selecting boot device. The only choice I get is network boot. The blank SSD shows in bios / sata but cannot select it in boot device. I have a USB stick with windows but can't choose anything but network boot (F10)

What would you boot from a blank SSD?

Update the BIOS if not already on 0053:

Remember to set defaults with F9 after the bios update.

Make your W10 install USB stick as instructed here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Do not use any other tools. Also, make sure your usb stick is at least 8gb

and I can't pick or see the usb stick at all. Bios nor F10

No, it only shows up if you have a boot on it.

If you put the .bio file on a fat32 usb stick, and use F7, you should see the usb stick and be able to select the .bio file. Is this what you experienced?

After that, if you try booting the ssd or usb stick, and there is nothing to boot, then they are not seen.

Too bad I bought 20 pcs...

Bios are up to date, no problem. but when I try to boot from the usb stick I do not get the choice only network boot.

The usb stick is made for win7 and I have used it with other machines both before and after.

Make a usb boot media as I suggested in the microsoft link. Then, just TRY to boot that.

Why try to do 20 machines with WIndows 7, when you have only a month of support remaining? It will take you that long to download SP1, and then the 5000 updates.

Face it - W7 (for as good as it was) is history.
