Intel NUC 12 Extreme - CPU vs. PCH SSD Slots (Conflicting Documentation)

Hello,

I have an Extreme NUC 12 i7.

I am trying to determine the location of the CPU-attached SSD slot.

There is conflicting information within Intel's own documnetation (see attachments for screenshots of conflicting documentation below)

1. Document 1 - https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/intel-nuc/NUC12DCM_EDB_UserGuide.pdf

Page No. 16 - States that the CPU attached SSD is on the back of the compute element

2. Document 2 - https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/intel-nuc/NUC12DCM_NUC12EDB_TechProdSpec.pdf

Page No. 13 - States that the CPU attached SSD is on right side of dual-SSD slots

Which one is correct?

Thanks

Hello nicolasonline

We would like to inform you that the documentation has been fixed. We have updated the User Guide so now it matches with the Technical Product Specifications (Intel® NUC 12 Extreme / Pro X Kit / Compute Element, Product Specification Revision 1.1).

The User Guide (page 16) now states that "the CPU-Attached PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe M.2 2280" is the M.2 slot closest to the processor and you can see its location on the Technical Product Specifications (page 13, Figure 4 > "CPU NVMe").

Please kindly review it and in case you have additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us back.

Best regards,
