Hi Z1KO,
Thank you for posting in the Intel® communities.
I understand that you are having issues to setup the Intel® Optane™ Memory.
Could you please download the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) and run the full report to collect your system information? This information will help us to understand what might be missing in your system. You can download the tool from the following site: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- Download Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*
On the other hand, I was trying to find details about your system in the following site: https://us-store.acer.com/aspire-5-laptop-a515-51g-5488# _ga=2.126385098.65384063.1537541472-2139616274.1536175169 Acer Store: Aspire 5 Laptop - A515-51G-5488 | Acer , but I don't find any reference that states this laptop is Intel® Optane™ compatible. Have you confirmed with the manufacturer if this laptop model is compatible with the module?
Actually, I found in the following Acer* community thread that the model Aspire 5 A515-51G doesn't support the Intel® Optane™ Memory. Please check this thread in this site: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/548382/intel-optane-memory https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/548382/intel-optane-memory
Considering this information, I'd recommend you to contact the manufacturer and confirm with them if the Intel® Optane™ Memory is indeed supported by your system.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Diego V.

Hi Z1KO,
Thank you for the report.
According to this information, the Intel® Optane™ Memory is not even recognized by the system.
However, considering the information I posted above that states your laptop model doesn't support the Intel® Optane® Memory, I strongly recommend you to contact Acer* and confirm with them if your laptop supports or not the module.
If it does, then they should be able to help you on setting it up. The process to setup the Intel® Optane™ Memory in laptops is not validated by us as it's different of setting it up in a desktop computer. There may be special settings specifically added by the manufacturer that we are not aware of, so the best recommendation is to contact them for better assistance.
Please let me know if you have any doubts.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Diego V.

Hi Z1KO,
I've just found this information from another Acer* community thread where some users discuss the compatibility with the module. They mention that probably connecting the module in the proper port will work, however they are not sure about it, so I still recommend you to contact Acer* directly and confirm this information.
Please take a look at the Acer* community thread here: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/550348/does-acer-a515-51g-58gj-supports-intel-optane-memory-module https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/550348/does-acer-a515-51g-58gj-supports-intel-optane-memory-module
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Diego V.

Hi Z1KO,
I'm not saying that the Intel® Optane™ Memory is not compatible with your laptop model, however I cannot confirm it either as there is no information about this in the Acer* website. Additionally, as I mentioned above, there are community threads in the Acer* site that states this laptop is not compatible with the module. That's why I recommend you to contact Acer* and confirm the compatibility of the module with this laptop model.
I have seen the video you shared, however I couldn't see any configuration of the Intel® Optane™ Memory, and since the video is in Thai, I couldn't understand what they were talking about.
My recommendation is to contact Acer* directly, and ask them if the module is indeed supported. If so, you can ask them if they have any guide or suggested instructions to enable the module.
Regarding to your concern about the modules available in Amazon*, they are the same. There is only two versions of the module: a 16GB version and a 32GB version.
On the other hand, you can try checking the BIOS settings to confirm they are properly set. You have to check the SATA mode selection is set to Intel RST Premium with Intel Optane, and the remapping setting is properly enabled. This may be done through the CSM setting and the PCIE Storage RAID Support option, however the available options and settings will depend on your specific motherboard model.
You can check in the following article the base requirements you need in order to setup the module, however as you are using a specific laptop model, it's better to contact Acer* for proper assistance on this: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023994/memory-and-storage/intel-optane-memory.html?_ga=2.121948233.392035189.1537805655-1716436649.1536075640 Overview and Requirements for Intel® Optane™ Memory
