I have an Intel Optane accelerating my secondary hard disk, it has only data as videos and music ( my windows 10 is in the principal SSD disk) the problem I have is, it deactivate itself every 4 days or so, so I have to activate again, there is a message telling me I have to erase the data to activate optane again, so it losses all the data already saved. I have tried it on my principal SSD disk with no issues. What could be the problem?

Did you leave 5MB - 15MB of unalloctaed space in the end of your HDD (the HDD boeing accelerated). If not please do it. Optane need this space. You may create this space, by shrinking the last allocated partition end, using Disk Manager.

Yes I did, I have 20MB of unallocated space, but still have the problem. I just noted that my HDD is NTFS formatted, could it be the problem?

Hello Flak,
Thank you for contacting Intel® Memory & Storage Support.
As we understand, you need assistance with your Intel® Optane™ Memory. If we infer correctly we will appreciate if you can provide us with the following information:
• Your system configuration including manufacturer, model and part number of all your system components and a copy of the SSU logs in the system that the Optane is connected.
1- Go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/ and download the software.
2- When finished downloading it, open it.
3- Attach the file obtained to your reply post.
• Please let us know the version of the Optane software that you have installed in your system.
• A screenshot of the “Disk Management” showing all the storage devices. To access the disk manager you can choose from the following two ways:
# 1: Open it from the Quick Access Menu.
o Right-click the bottom-left corner (or Start button) on the desktop to open Quick Access Menu, and then choose Disk Management.
# 2: Access Disk Management via Run.
o Use Windows+R to open Run, type “diskmgmt.msc” in the empty box and tap OK.
We will be looking forward to your reply including this information.

Sorry for the delay, I did the following, I erased the unallocated HDD and created a new one but this time with 32MB size, the same as my Intel optane, after one week no problems so far
