i've been trying for months, with several bios versions upgraded. when i first started, the system wouldn't even see the optane chip, until i ran a bios update.

Hello @PLux0
- What is the version of your Windows 10?
- What is the partition type (MBR or GPT) on the HDD, you want to accelerate wit Optane?
- Did you leaved at least 5 MB unallocated space in the end of HDD?
- Is your Bios set to UEFI?
- Is your Bios updated? https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=m4ymr
- Did you disabled Legacy Option ROMS in the BIOS?
- Did you installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) Driver? https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER04311643M/5/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-and-Management_WTY4T_WIN_15.5.2.1054_A00.EXE . Always install the driver released by OEM rather driver from Intel site. In your case it is version 15.5.2.1054.
- Did you installed Management Console User interface ? https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER04675078M/3/Intel-Management-Engine-Interface-Driver_RCGJ3_WIN_11.7.0.1054_A03.EXE
- Did you installed Chipset Device Software ? https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER04001557M/8/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software_HMDR4_WIN_10.1.1.38_A05_06.EXE
