it seems that it is not so easy to install optane memory for casual users... even some IT specialist must waste a lot of time that optane can be used...

4 example i allready have ssd with win 10 64bit + 6tb hdd with data in it (that i want to accelerate with optane) and i was thinking that instaliation will be simple but... cant find ways... maybe its better to create program that FIX all things from start to END like change hdd status + create additional partitions and etc (what is needed for optane)  or i cant find videos with examples what must be DONE IN BIOS... u just writing but i would like to see how and what u changing in bios if win10 allready instled... and in same cases after bios settings changing the win10 not booting at all :)

I understand you have had some issues trying to setup the Intel® Optane™ Memory.

 

Indeed, there is a configuration that must be done in BIOS and OS level to get the module working in the system, however this process and configuration highly depends on every motherboard and every particular BIOS, and the system manufacturer too. That’s the reason why an application that configures all the system settings automatically cannot be developed. This would depend instead on every manufacturer, if they decide to develop such application. Actually, some of them have done it so you can setup the module in an easier way, but as I mentioned, this depends on every manufacturer.

 

Having said this, I can try to help you configuring the module in your system. We will just need some information about your system.

 

Please download the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) from the following site and run the full report. This report will include all details of your system. Please export the data in a text file and share it in your response: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

 

Additionally, please take a screenshot of the Disk Management window. You can open Disk Management by pressing the Windows* key + x, and then selecting the Disk Management option from the menu that will appear.

 

Finally, please run the following commands in the Command Prompt to take another screenshot:

 

  1. Open the Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Run the command diskpart.
  3. Run the command list disk. Please take a screenshot of this output.

ohhh it takes a lot of time... instal 1 2 3 programs then send tests to you wait for response then again instal something / change somethings... and so on and on... i have optane 1 or 1,5 month and still still its not used.... its to complicated.... :/ 2019-03-05, an, 00:40 Intel Forums <supportreplies@intel.com> rašė:

·        Please download the software.

·        When finished downloading it, open it and follow instructions

·        Please attach the SSU Log text file obtained on your next your reply.

 

Also, your motherboard manufacturer has probably created an Optane™ Memory instruction manual, in order to perform the basic setup to use your Optane™ memory in your system; therefore, we need to know further details on your system, we can look for this information, by reading the Logs after running the System Support Utilities (SSU’s) and recommend to follow their instructions.
