I've been using ChatGPT, and tried using Rufus to put Hiren’s BootCD PE on a USB thumb drive. With it I was able to discover it with Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Configuration → UEFI HII → Intel Rapid Storage Technology
(inside Intel Rapid Storage Technology) so ChatGPT suggested I try to unpair the hard drive from Optane but After the disable attempt, I saw:
BIOS (Main) → no drive
HP diagnostics → no storage installed
Hiren’s → no internal disk
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of hard drive and has any suggestions to access it. I can't just put it in an external enclosure since it's still appears to be tied with the Optane. I would really like to try to get the data off of it. The laptop is from January of 2022 and I had planned on buying a new laptop, but Best Buy screwed up my order and canceled it, and now I'm in a real pickle.
I'm looking for Intel info on how to get the data off this SSD/Optane drive without needing to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars since I'm on disability. Could plugging it into another HP Specter drive slot help? Any suggestions? If I need to use a data recovery service is there one that definitely works with this type of SSD/Optane drive? Thanks!
