Need 2.xx firmware and updated ipmctl 2.xx Windows tool for Apache Pass Optane DC Persistent Memory

Hi. I am an Intel Partner and I have an Intel S2600WFT server board with firmware 17 (last one released when discontinued)  with four Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory modules  Apache Pass (≈126 GiB each). They are currently running firmware 01.02.00.5446 and ipmctl 1.x.
When enabling 2LM Memory Mode under Windows Server Datacenter 2025, the system experiences a BSOD (storport.sys).
I need the latest 02.x firmware for these PMem DIMMs and the matching ipmctl 2.x Windows package, which Intel documentation indicates resolves this known issue.

These are the current specs of my Intel Server S2600WF L9 build.

S2600WFT

Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6230 CPU

Memory:

  • 192 GB DDR4 DRAM (standard DIMMs)

  • 4 × Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory DIMMs, 126 GiB each (≈504 GiB total)

DimmID | Capacity | HealthState | ActionRequired | LockState | FWVersion
0x0001 | 126.4 GiB | Healthy | 0 | Disabled | 01.02.00.5446
0x0101 | 126.4 GiB | Healthy | 0 | Disabled | 01.02.00.5446
0x1001 | 126.4 GiB | Healthy | 0 | Disabled | 01.02.00.5446
0x1101 | 126.4 GiB | Healthy | 0 | Disabled | 01.02.00.5446

Memory Resources:

Capacity=505.6 GiB
MemoryCapacity=0.0 GiB
AppDirectCapacity=504.0 GiB
UnconfiguredCapacity=0.0 GiB
InaccessibleCapacity=1.6 GiB
ReservedCapacity=0.0 GiB

Current IPMCTL version 1.x is the tool I use in Windows

The Issue

  • When configuring PMem for 2LM Memory Mode (MemoryMode=100), the server BSODs on boot.

  • Crash dump shows storport.sys fault during early initialization.

  • BIOS set to Volatile Memory Mode → 2LM.

  • Reverting to 1LM (DRAM only) boots fine.

  • Please provide:

    1. Latest Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory Firmware (02.x branch) for Apache Pass DIMMs.

    2. Matching ipmctl 2.x Windows package (management tool + driver).

This firmware/tool combination is documented to resolve 2LM boot issues on modern Windows Server kernels.

You can email me or PM me if you need my partner # or anything else.

Thank you,

Lyle Epstein
