Intel MAS Tool - installation error

Error on Setup: "The older version of Intel MAS Tool cannot be removed."

looks like an earlier uninstall was not completed - there is no entry anymore under apps - and now i cannot install the new version.

getting this error with the GUI and CLI setup

is there a workaround for that?
