SSD Capacitors

I have been asked a question relating to how long and SSD capacitor would hold charge after power is removed.  There are so many makes and models of SSD so realistically I'm looking for a worst case scenario for the maximum possible time.  If anyone can assist that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Philw22,

Thank you for posting on the Intel Community Support Forum.

I received your ticket regarding how long an SSD capacitor would hold a charge after power is removed, and I will be assisting you with this.

I will be glad to investigate this to provide you with the most accurate information available. To do so, I will need to know the specific drive model you are interested in the details.

In case this inquiry is related to a NAND-based SSD, please consider the following:

Hello, Philw22.

This post is to inform you about the closure of this community thread.

We previously recommended to contact Solidigm for any type of assistance related to those SSDs, and also shared their contact details, but there was no confirmation about further assistance being required after trying to follow up.

The thread will be closed right now, and it will no longer be monitored by Intel support, but if you require any type of assistance from Intel in the future, just open a new thread, or contact us using any of the available support methods:
