AIIGX configuration scheme

Hi,

I am using AIIGX fpga along with serial configuration device from Micron. We are using AS configuration mode, in relation to this I have following queries, any help on this would be appreciated.

1. Is AIIGX fpga support non-Altera serial configuration devices?

2. If it is possible then how can I generate a bit stream target to non-EPCS part (in my case Micron device, data sheet attached)?

3. Is there any particular care needed on PCB level to handle above scenario?

Thanks,

R Shaik.

You would need to check the Micron part matches the EPCS access mechanisms and chip ID etc, I'd build a couple of prototypes to check.

I've used the ST m25PXX parts as EPCSXX replacements sucessfully in a load of boards.

One thing to watch out for though is that there's no EPCS32 so the '32 part won't work (as I found out) . It's '16 or '64.
