Hello everyone. I am currently working on a project to design a (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) system using VHDL language. I am not sure to use VHDL approach or Schematic one. So which one do you advice for this particular design?? Also, I have adequate knowledge in VHDL, but suppose I don't have any knowledge about the architecture or any other detail of the FPGA chip that I will be working on (which is a Cyclone ii chip ), does that going to make a huge problem for me??

Dont bother with schematics. Your design will be difficult to simulate, wont play nice with version control and wont be portable.
VHDL ticks all the boxes that schematics doesnt.
