Fatal Error: Access Violation at 0X000007FE8A3840FD Module: quartus_fit.exe (MAX V)

Hi,

I'm compiling a MAX V project using Quartus 18.1 Standard Edition and have run into a Quartus Problem Fatal Error shown below:

The project has two variants (With Watchdog/No Watchdog)

The With Watchdog variant compiles fine, while the No Watchdog variant has this error.

Please help

I have Two varients setup for this MAX V Device (with watchdog & No Watchdog). When I switch tot he No Watchdog Varient, I'm not able to compile, however, using the With Watchdog varient I am able to compile. Please help!

I haven't seen this error. Could you try to run the project in the latest Quartus Standard version 20.1.1. We have fixed quite a few bugs there. 

If the issue still persists, you may need to share us your .qar design file to duplicate this issue. As without duplication of the error from our side, it would be hard to find a workaround/solution.
