Generation Callback vs Fileset Callback

I recently did a costum component for Qsys with version 10.1 of Quartus II which uses a generation callback procedure. Since we will (hopefully) soon upgrade to the newest version of Quartus II, i had a look a the current Quartus II handbook and noticed that the generation callback got replaced by the fileset callback. So here's my question:

Does the generation callback approach still work in version 11 of Quartus II? If so, should i replace it anyway?
