Hi everyone,
I tried to generate an IBIS model of my Cyclone III device with Quartus and import it to Altium Designer for SI simulation. But the IBIS version generated by Quartus is 4.1 and Altium doesn't support that. Is there any settings in Quatus that can set the IBIS version of output file, or is there any tool that can convert IBIS file into a lower version? Thanks a lot!Link Copied

Hello wdshen,
I do not know of any IBIS-version-converter. I would just recommend running the version of IBISCHK that is supported by Altium Designer, and fix the errors as required. I know that is probably not the best answer to your question but it's just my suggestion, =) thanks.- Mark as New

Generally you may select the IBIS version by doing the following in Quartus II:
Go to Settings -> EDA Tool Settings -> Board-Level, enable IBIS model and choose your IBIS verison.- Mark as New

Just to add on, as I did a quick check with the Quartus II software, it seems like Quartus II does not support version selection for Cyclone III devices. I believe there is no way to use Quartus II to generate the lower IBIS version currently. You might need to look into the IBIS model file to see if can edit it manually ie removing 4.1 keywords from it to see if can pass the Altium.
