IP search path in SOPC builder

Hi,

I am developing my own IP blocks and use them in the SOPC builder environment. I have done this before and this works fine.

I am now assembling all of my IP blocks into my own, private, IP library. In order for the SOPC builder system to find my IP blocks I set the IP search path to include the directory where my library is located (through Tools -> Options -> IP Search Path). This action normally creates a directory .altera.quartus directory on my computers Z: drive (centrally managed storage infrastructure). Quartus and SOPC builder select by default the Z drive to store this configuration directory if available.

For several reasons (backup, user related data, ...) the top directory structure of the Z drive is fixed by our system administrators and can not be changed by any user (inside the fixed directories on the top of the Z drive I can organize my data as I want). This means that in my situation the directory .altera.quartus can not be created on this default location :(.

I have been looking to change the default location of this .altera.quartus, I could not find any information to do so. Is there actually a way to change the default location of this .altera.quartus directory? Somewhere on the local disk of my computer would be fine (for use in a stand-alone situation).

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Bart,

I am in a similar situation as yours. The problem for me is, the SOPC builder seems to only accept absolute path for the IP search path. Do you know a way to configure SOPC builder to use relative paths?

Thanks,
