Hi everyone,
I would like to say if OpenCL can be used on Virtual Machine with Centos 7.4 (the host OS is Windows Server 2012 R2). Can anyone help me? Thanks for your help.Link Copied
Yes, with no issues.
PCI-E devices are not accessible in Virtual Machines and hence, you can only use a virtual machine for compiling, and not for running code on the FPGA.
Ok thanks. Should I use a physical partition with Linux?
If you want to be able to run your program on an actual FPGA, yes.
Hi,
do remember we tested this SDK in 7.3 only. where hard to predict any unexpected issue later on as you are using 7.4. Regards, CloseCL (This message was posted on behalf of Intel Corporation)Ok, thanks for your attention.
