Hello,
Attached is snapshot of my system and configurations of the RAM instance.
What I'm trying to do:
Initialise contents of RAM instance (sram256) with simple binary values with a .mif. The .mif has a width 12 and depth 256.
Problem:
I assume that data from .mif would be shown as `data` in RTL simulation but it does not.
Am I missing something here?
Any reply will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Arief.

Hi @Kenny_Tan
Thanks for the reply and the source.
Unfortunately I have no luck with your suggestion.
It may be useful to note that I am using the Questa RTL simulator and not modelsim, however, I do not think that this is significant.
Continuing to solve the issue, I have performed the following suggestions from the following forums.
RTL Simulation cannot find MIF
Attempts:
1. I am confident that the formatting of either the .mif/.hex file is correct.
2. I am confident that Questa can "read" the .mif/.hex file, as no error output is shown in the compilation messages in Questa
3. I have also experimented with placing the 'sram256.qip' and the `.mif` files in the same directories, as shown below:
- Project top-level
- Memory directory (project_dir/memory)
- Simulation directory (project_dir/simulation/questa)
Still no luck from the suggestions.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
