Hello.
I would like to know if there is a way to determine which version of the tool a user is using.
Currently, our department keeps logs of which FEATURES users have acquired and unlocked.
Is it possible to use these logs to determine which version of the tool a user is using?
Is there any other way to determine the version of the tool a user is using, other than from FEATURES?
We are asking this question to confirm whether there is a way to verify the tool version without directly asking the user.
We look forward to your response.

Thank you for your reply.
In this case, we are asking if there is a way to check the version without contacting the user.
Therefore, I am afraid that the method you suggested, checking from Help, is a little difficult to implement.
Is it correct to understand that there is no way to check from a completely external source?
Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi,
Seems like you only got the clues of the features. Then you can check based on the unlocked feature. In the tool download site, there's this Intel® Quartus® Prime Software and Device Support Release Notes which record the new feature.
Thanks,
Regards,
Sheng

Thank you for your response.
Following your instructions, I checked the release notes from 25.1 back to 23.1, but I could not find the answer I was looking for in the release notes.
Should I go back further and check the release notes?
I feel that the section you referred me to does not mention “how to determine the tool version from an external source,” so I am asking again.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hello.
I apologize for not contacting you earlier.
I checked the “
1.1. New Features and Enhancements” section at the beginning of the release notes, but I was unable to understand it. I apologize for that.
Also, regarding the feature log, it has been determined that it cannot be used this time because it only records the FEATURE that was acquired and released for each vendor daemon listed in the license file.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi,
If that's the case, it'll be impossible to know the version without contacting the user.
Thanks,
Regards,
Sheng
