Quartus Prime Lite 20.1 running on Ubuntu 20.04LTS. When trying to create Quartus Prime symbol file, the checkbox won't allow click. Is this a bug? Or how to generate a symbol so this LPM_MUX component can be put into .bdf design?
Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
I don't have Ubuntu with me, but Window is working properly. Alternatively, maybe you can create symbol file via file -> create/update --> create symbol file for current file after you generate IP variation HDL for LPM_MUX.
Thanks,
Regards

yes, I tried as you suggested after generating the .v hdl file. However, upon opening this .v file, MegaWizard Plug-in Manager is invoked and hang telling "Mega_lpm_muxq" is not responding. Without .v opened in text editor , "create symbol file for current file" is greyed out and not clickable.
I guess this is a bug of Lite version for Ubuntu package, and maybe an update fixes this issue already? But I am not sure how to check update for bug fix. When I open this Quartus Prime Lite 20.1 software, a message of "Error (14565): Can't connect to the Intel FPGA website to check for updates." shows up, but my Internet is definitely working fine.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
How about previous version, 19.1 Lite? can you give a try and see if it works? FYI, that error can be omitted.

I tried both 19.1Lite and 18.1Lite version. Both of them hang at summary page of MegeWizard Plug-in Manager. It shows difficulty in generating Quartus Prime symbol file.
You are correct that Windows versions don't have such issue. But I hope there is a fix in Linux version for Ubuntu.
