Legacy device support

I am tasked with reverse engineering an old system containing several EPM5032 devices. The EPLD programming was developed using MAX+PLUS v2.5, circa 1990. I have access to the source files, but not the MAX+PLUS software. That device is not on the current Quartus II supported devices list. I don't need to make any changes to the logic of the parts, just look at (and hopefully print out) the code or diagrams or whatever is available. What would be the best way to approach this?

You can try to download MAX+Plus II 10.2 and see if that works for you. I don't believe it supports MAX5K, but you may be able to open the source files. I am assuming you are talking about schematic files.

You may also be able to open the M+II schematic files with Quartus, but that may no longer work

M+II can be downloaded from http://preview.altera.com/download/legacy/maxplus2/mp2-index.html

Thanks, that worked! (except that I had to change "preview" to "www" in the link you provided.) Now I can see the schematic files.

I appreciate your quick help!
