Library in Protected Region using Questasim

I am getting this error when I try to simulate my design using Questasim:

** Error: C:/quartuspro/quartus/eda/sim_lib/mentor/cyclone10gx_atoms_ncrypt.v(36): in protected region
# Optimization failed
# Error loading design

Anyone know what is causing this?

Hi @Nitin1 

Have you compile the simulation libraries before you simulate your design? 

You may checkout the User Guide below on how-to simulate Intel FPGA Designs using third party simulator tools.

Yes I did compile the simulation libraries

Hi @Nitin1 

Have you try to simulate in our Modelsim Intel FPGA Edition?

See if the issue persists.  

Share me the simulation log file and the simulation script so I can investigate further.

Is it possible to get a temporary license for Intel Modelsim Intel FPGA Edition (not Starter edition) to see if the problem goes away?
