Movements in Schematic Editor

While moving blocks/entities around in the schematic editor (a bdf file) the page seems to adjust it's size after placing a component if it's the furthest component of a design. For example if I have a lot of empty space at the end of my design and I place an entity not quite at the edge, the schematic page will crop and move to the latest placed entity leaving me with no empty space.

Is there a way to turn this dynamic movement off? This is not desirable if I'm placing down entities in sequential order to create a flow. I'm currently using Quartus 12.1sp1 and came from version 9.1 which did not have this problem.

Thank you in advance!

I wish I could help, but all I can do is offer sympathy. The schematic editor acquired numerous aggravating deficiencies when it left version 9.1. I've been told it underwent a major rewrite at that point. I stick with 9.1 whenever I can and grumble when I can't.
