Odd behavior after generating qsys block

I noticed that in 16.1.0, after I "generate" a qsys block, once I go back into Quartus prime and navigate to Assignments -> Pin Planner, my mouse cursor turns into an hourglass (or Window's 7 version of a spinny circle) and the interface is very laggy. Also, once I compile my design, instead of the build steps turning green, they go immediately back to yellow. It seems that closing Quartus Prime and re-opening it fixes these issues.
