Platform Designer disappearing

I designed a simple system with the platform designer, the project has no db or incremental files only: .qpf .qsf .sdc and .vhd.

The design had no warnings or errors so I proceeded to saving it. When I hit save the Platform Designer window closes without any message and without saving it.

I've heard that some other had that problem too and hee said that it was windows related but never posted to final solution. I'm using the newest Windows 11 and Quartus Prime 18.1. I have colleagues with windows 11 and Quartus Prime 18.1 too and for them it works fine.

Thanks for reading and hopefully helping me out.

Hi,

Please check the OS support page https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/programmable/support-resources/design-software/os-support.html

Version 18.1 is not supported on Window 11. If using, there's risk it'll crash like the situation you encounter.

Thanks,

Regards,

Sheng
